Queen Camilla Dons Peacock Pattern, Polka Dots for Royal Engagements

Queen Camilla donned two separate green dresses to carry out social and philanthropic engagements in London on Tuesday.

To attend the “Poetry Together” recital and tea party at Fielding Primary School, the Queen of England wore a green peacock-print silk dress from Bombshell London. She completed the look with caramel-colored kitten heels and accessorized with a gold-plated pendant with a ruby featuring the initials of her five grandchildren from her first marriage, a blue topaz and yellow gold diamond pendant from Kiki McDonough, a gold pendant charm from Monica Vinader and a Van Cleef & Arpels Alhambra bracelet.

Camilla’s visit to Fielding Primary School marked her return to royal duties after spending time at Balmoral Castle. The special poetry program at Fielding Primary School was launched in 2019 with the Dukes Education and National Poetry Day.

The Queen of England donned the same jewelry but swapped her dress for another appearance that day at the portrait unveiling of assistant section officer Noor Inayat Khan, a heroine of the special operations executive. For that occasion, the queen wore a three-quarter sleeve drape dot midi dress from Samantha Sung and paired it with nude suede pumps from Sole Bliss. She previously wore the dress for a reception at Buckingham Palace.

The royal family has named a room that houses the portrait at the Royal Air Force after Khan to honor the services she performed as an undercover agent for Britain’s Special Operations Executive during the Second World War.

Khan was a member of RAF’s Women’s Auxiliary Air Force when she was recruited to the SOE in 1942. She became one of only two members of the WAAF awarded the George Cross, the highest award bestowed for heroism.
