Glashütte Original Limited Seventies Chronograph

Jun 10, 2024

Catching the tail-end of summer, Glashütte Original has revealed two limited-edition Seventies Chronograph Panorama Date watches, each featuring a lively pastel hue that nods to the season.

Aptly named Ocean Breeze and Golden Bay, the two colorways complement the retro-inspired watch model with matte-finished lacquer dials — Ocean Breeze boasts a light gray-blue, while Golden Bay features a warm, ochre tone.

Both are housed in a 40mm square-shaped case with rounded edges composed of stainless steel. Completing the dial is a monochromatic date window at 6 o’clock, two subdials in a dark gray shade, lume-filled applied indices, and dauphine-shaped hands.

Running inside is the watchmaker’s own 37-02 caliber, operating the panorama date, second stop, flyback chronograph, and stop-second, on top of all quintessential time-telling functions. It beats at a frequency of 28,800 hourly vibrations, and is geared with a maximum running time of 70 hours.

Both colorways are available in a sporty rubber strap or a stainless steel metal bracelet. The Seventies Chronograph Panorama Date watches are released in a limited run of 100 pieces per colorway. Elsewhere in watches, Hamilton broadens the Jazzmaster Skeleton series with new dial colors and case sizes.
